Meet the Board
Lisa Switzer (President)
Lisa was born in Anchorage and grew up in Wasilla. Even from the time she was little she loved animals of all types. She graduated from Wasilla High School and then attended UAA while working full-time. She currently works for a wholesale company in Anchorage in addition to helping run the rescue. She is a die-hard bully lover who has two of her own.
Julie Myers-Foster (Vice President)
Julie is also a life long Alaskan who graduated from North Pole High School before moving to Anchorage. She currently works for the Alaska Railroad in addition to being a member of the ABR board. Julie lives in Anchorage with her husband and son as well as their four dogs. Her tenacity for bully breeds is what makes her an important part of the board.
Natasha Norris (Secretary/Legal Advisor)
Natasha like the other board member is a born and raised Alaska. Natasha has lived in several places throughout Alaska as her dad is retired from the Alaska State Troopers. Natasha graduated from Ketchikan High School before embarking off to college where she eventually graduated from law school. Natasha is currently a criminal defense attorney as well as legal advisor for ABR. She has never met a dog she doesn't love.
Amanda La-Fay Robinson (Treasurer/Valley Coordinator)
Amanda was born in Washington and raised in Washington. As a teen she lived on her uncle's cattle ranch and learned a lot about how to care for all types of animals. Amanda then joined the military and spent several years enlisted and traveled to many places around the world. She retired from the military and remained in Alaska. Amanda now owns two companies in Alaska with her husband and spends her free time working with animals. She has experience working with all personalities in animals and has yet to meet a dog she doesn't get along with.
