Fostering

Whether it be fostering a dog or taking dogs for walks, we always need volunteers to help with the constant flow of dogs we have coming in. A majority of our dogs are placed directly into foster homes so volunteer options are sometimes limited. If you are interested in volunteering when the opportunity arises please feel free to fill out a volunteer application so that we have it on file.

Fostering is one of the most important aspects of how our rescue operates. In addition to housing adoptable dogs until they find forever homes it also assists the dogs in their transition. Being transferred to a rescue can be traumatic for animals and going directly into a home setting can make that transition easier. If you would like to sign-up to be a foster for Alaska Bully Rescue please complete the foster application and we will do our best to match you and your family with a dog that will be a good fit for you. When it comes to fostering there is no set time frame, the amount of time depends on the dog. We will gladly accept fosters for any length of time so please let us know what time frame works for you and your family.
